(no subject)

So, I spent basically all day yesterday impromptu second-chairing a felony trial. Which basically meant I sat there and took notes and did random things as needed. But we won! The original charge was a third-degree felony (two to ten years) and the jury ended up only finding him guilty of a Class C misdemeanor (fine only). I didn't have a whole lot to do with it, except writing the lesser-included offenses into the jury charge, but yay! And now I have a couple of felonies of my own to handle. They've been indicting everyone and his brother lately, so. That's why I'm here, I guess.

And now I have a long weekend coming up, so I'm driving to Denton after work tomorrow night. Two weekends in a row! I'm gonna get spoiled.
