Oh hey, it's been a week since I updated. Not much besides work has been happening, though I did do some awesome research at work yesterday afternoon that led to my boss telling me she loves me. Not like that, I'm pretty sure, but it's always nice to feel like I'm actually good at my job. Can't believe I've been there almost a year. I don't know how long I'll stay - a lot will really depend on if our grant gets renewed or if we're shutting down at the end of 2011. I'm sure I don't want to be in Beeville forever, but it's okay for now. If they do shut down (because the counties can't afford us), I could probably get a transfer within the organization to another office, ideally Austin or San Antonio, but that'd probably be doing civil work of some kind. Dallas and Houston either have or will be opening public defenders soon, so we'll see. Whatever ends up happening, I'm getting good experience here.

Also, I booked my flight for Christmas! Now I am craving winter clothes. Specifically flat-heeled boots and sweater-dresses. I'm gonna finish watching the first half of Arsenal-West Ham and then go shop it up in Corpus. Woo.
